Day 53 – Recognition on Skull-a-Day
It’s always nice to be recognized. It gives you that little boost that makes what you do all the more special. One of my inspirations for “The Doodle Daily” Blog came from Noah Scalin who maintains a blog of his own called Skull a Day. Lisa saw him when she was up in New York at the Martha Stewart Show where he was promoting his blog & book about having posted a new skull every day for a year. I knew straight away that if Noah could post a new entry each day, I could do the same with my doodles. I just needed to keep it going day in and day out.
So at the start of this project I wrote to Noah that he was an inspiration and sent him my own skull doodle, which I had yet to post on here. Well yesterday I got notification that not only was my skull doodle recognized on Noah’s blog, but he was impressed with my tenacity to keep the doodle project going. He actually has a 365 Challenge, which I wasn’t even aware of. It was so nice to see my work recognized on such a reputible website as Skull a Day.
