Day 792 – Shield/Mask
This one could be a shield
or a tribal mask
or just another creative
mind blowing doodle…
I am going with the latter!

Haven’t gone Jurassic in a while
and there is always place
for one more dinosaur
This one is hungry for something?
We survived the Hurricane Irene and besides some pretty strong winds we were left pretty much unscathed. I can’t say the same for some others north and south of us. So I do hope and pray that everyone is safe and damage was minimal.
With the storm behind us, we now have back 2 school to look forward too…. that’s a hurricane event all on it’s own. I can’t believe how quick the summer flew by. My boys are both in High School this year. Pretty Scary but I wish them both a great year as do I wish all those who are starting school today.
Here’s my “End of the Summer – Start of the School Year” Doodle
The lights are flickering, so I am trying to get this posted before we potentially lose power. The storm for us in Maryland has not been bad at all today, but the sights in other areas look rather bleak. As I type this, I am watching a report on New York City and Time Square is completely empty… We have never seen that before. Not a soul is visible…. The beaches have been evacuated too…. Thank goodness this is not a killer storm, but there is a lot of water, a lot of rain…. and flooding is the thing they are most concerned with. I will fill you in tomorrow, because we just got another flicker….
Here is my storm day doodle; it’s another hurricane shaped mandala
Will we or won’t we?
be impacted by this
Hurricane Irene
We’ll have to wait and see!
Mandala doodles always remind me of Hurricanes
so I drew this one for Irene.
So we started the week with an earthquake and we’re going to end it off with a hurricane. Like I said what is the world coming too.
Hurricane is still a few days away, but as you know panic stations sets in early.
So stay tuned!
This is the Calm before the storm
This is not meant to happen on the east coast, but yesterday around 1:40 we had a 5.8 earthquake right here in the DC area. We don’t get earthquakes…. we don’t get hurricanes…. we should be immune! What is going on. 5.8 is big. I am in Maryland about 100 miles away from the Epicenter that was near Richmond, VA, but we felt it. Our whole building shook. We had to evacuate.
And that wasn’t the worst part of it… afterwards, it felt like Armageddon here, no sooner had the first reports come through then everyone decided to flee the city, and hit the roads all at one time. Come on people, it was a tremor…. that is all….
Gridlock everywhere for miles and miles. Worse than the average snowstorm and now I hear that Hurricane Irene is coming our way for the weekend. It’s the end of the world…. as we know it.
Thank goodness we all survived and I live to Doodle another Day….
There are so many crazy insects around at this time in the Summer.
Spiders, Crickets, beetles
you name it
but these creatures
the awfully annoying Stinkbugs are the worst.
So I couldn’t resist the doodle tribute.
It’s Monday
Time for a couple of
Monday Mandalas
in black and blue
