Here we are saying farewell to 2011.
Another year comes to a close.
Try and reflect on something profound that happened over the past 12 months.
Close your eyes and imagine the new year ahead.
As the clock strikes midnight, fireworks explode all around
and the New Years ball is dropped
welcome in 2012 with open arms.
Getting ready for the New Year
All dressed up… with nowhere to go
It’s almost New Years Eve
so we gotta get silly and have a little fun
I call this one “Party Rocker”
because it somehow makes me think of LMFAO
and their “party rock anthem”
Don’t Ask!
Having fun with color
it’s a good time for some Bright Ideas
Pick up a pen
and you can doodle something like this too.
It feels like holidays, but yet work is calling. Actually today looks like it will be a crazy day at the office, so much for “holiday work week” . The one consolation it’s quieter and more gets done. Lots of meetings means lots of time to squeeze in a doodle or two. Here’s something bright to kick of the week.
Nice to have a day of rest after the holiday.
Boxing Day is a blessing in disguise.
Hope you enjoy the day off.
“Feliz Navidad”
“Geseende Kersfees”
“Joyeux Noel”
“Mele Kalikimaka”
“Merry Christmas”
The Greeting is the same in any language
Have a very Happy Holiday
The Christmas Star is watching over you.
The Holiday Star
Something about the holiday season has me wanting to sing carols all the time. I can’t get those Yuletide songs out of my head. From “Hark the Herald Angels” to “Silent Night” to “Have yourselves a Merry little Christmas….” on and on they play. They are so catchy, but it’s enough already. I find myself walking the dog, singing “Let it Snow, Let it Snow” or “White Christmas” What can I do to clear myself of the spell that is Christmas Music? I need a cure!
Maybe this Christmas Elf will break the spell….
Yuletide Elf
The Holiday weekend gets off to a wet start, but that’s ok. It could be worse we could be buried in 2 feet of snow. In fact it’s been downright balmy the last couple of days, so no one is complaining. Yesterday was also the “Winter Solstice” the shortest day of the year, so the good news is that from now on days will only get longer… Winter hasn’t even hit us and already I feel like Spring is around the corner.
Have you done all your shopping, the count down has begun. The lights must be all up, and the festive season is in high gear. It’s going to be a nice long weekend. Plenty of time to draw.
Here’s the doodle to kick off the holidays:
Tootin' the Horn
Definitely some on to keep at bay
this holiday season.
With all the joy to go around
we have no time for
“The Grinch”
He does look like a happy Grinch though!
