The Doodle Daily turns “2” today
730 days of nonstop Doodles
When I started this blog, I said I would keep it up for a year. It was a challenge and I never back away from a challenge. I wanted to see if I could indeed come up with something new everyday and whether I could generate interest in a project that was important to me, but would it be appreciated by others.
Well I have been blown away. I have made great friends through the blog. I have had a chance to share my art with people all over the world. I have discovered a creativity I never knew existed in me and most of all I have had so much fun.
Who would have thought that the doodle could generate so much attention.
So on this 2nd anniversary, I would love to hear from all of you. Tell me what your favorite doodle is. Leave a comment and most importantly share the blog with others. Pick up a pen and draw something for me to include in the world doodle challenge.
My motto has always been “Uniting the world one doodle at a time” so let’s unite. Soon I will be putting some of my creative work up for sale, so that I can share work with those that have followed me over the past two years. So look out for that.
Pop the champagne
and here’s to Many more years of Creative Doodling.
Thanks for following…. and I am not going anywhere
Tomorrow I begin YEAR 3!
Our anniversary Doodle is a beautiful Mandala.
The Road to the Future
I have to share a few of my cute friendly faces
Today is a special day
and these guys help make it special
Elephants are always fun to draw and it’s been quite a while since I worked on my wild life series. I recently had some enquirers for my elephant doodles, so I figured i was time for a new Pachyderm to make an appearance. I love the way this one turned out. He looks exotic enough to make a grand appearance anywhere.
Hope you enjoy him or her as much as I do.
I was in a long planning meeting on Friday
and it dragged and dragged.
I guess I found something to do
Wait, now I don’t know what to deliver and when….
(don’t worry, this was not my actual schedule!)
Here’s the second of the first 3 panels of the post-it note quilt.
These are part of the “blue series”
I love how this is coming together.
I started working on a series of post-it mosaics recently…. they still have a way to go, but I laid them out for a start just to see what the finished product may look like. what do yo think? Heading in the right direction. I am working on a few more tiles and hope to have the complete set as one piece soon. It’s always fun to try new things.
Also gearing up for my second anniversary of the Daily. Two years of non-stop doodling. Time to get some worldly recognition. Nahhh, I just love what I do.
In the mean time here’s one of the panels in the post-it mosaic doodles.
Here’s a rotated
alternate view.
Here are a few more of the little guys from the other day.
Sometimes the simple things
