Yesterday there was a really cool article about the Doodle Daily on the Patch.com website. I had been interviewed earlier in the week, when Nathan Carrick, Editor of the Gaitherburg Patch had come over to watch me work and talk and while we were talking and he was videoing, I doodled something (which is featured today). Nathan did a really fantastic job of putting this piece together and wrote such a great article, that I just had to share it with you all.
For those who don’t know, the patch is a great resource for local news and entertainment and your can follow Nathan on twitter @GburgPatch and visit their website at Gaithersburg Patch
We are heading into the 3rd day of no school for the kids in the county. One would swear that we were in the midst of an Armageddon. We had a decent storm, but it wasn’t like the mess we had last year this time. Utterly crazy, but the kids certainly are not complaining. 3 days off and they now have a 5 day weekend. What a life!
This is for all the moms (and some dads) stuck at home snow bound with kids going crazy…… All you can do is scream!
After dodging the the East Coast snow bullets all winter, we finally got hit and we got hit big. Heavy wet snow and amazing “Thunder-Snow” I am not looking forward to the shoveling experience in the morning. Traffic was a nightmare for most. I was lucky to get out of work early and avoid the mess, but many people were stuck in 4-5-6 hour backups. Some took that long to travel a few miles. Not a fun experience. Let’s hope that this is is for the winter of 2011.
I didn’t even realize that I had 2 kite like doodles, but here they are. I like this one. It is rich and full. You can almost feel the hills and power of the wind in this doodle. Hope you enjoy.
Here’s another birdie to join our Snow Goose from yesterday. Don’t you just love the eyes and the hidden face. This one’s got a little bit of this and a little bit of that. A true doodle. Bye Bye Birdie.
The temps plummeted yesterday and it’s not going to get out of the 20’s this weekend. All I can say is Brrrrrrrrr! Maybe the SnowGoose will help keep us all warm!
