Day 518 – Hidden Red Star

November 30th, 2010 4 comments

I had seen a picture that one of my twitter followers had posted (can’t for the love of me find the original now) but it was called “the red star” and I had told Bryce (who had posted the picture) that it would lead to a doodle inspiration.  Well here is my interpretation of @abitofmybrain’s picture.  I did what I could from memory, because as I said I could not find the original.  I am sure after my tweet goes out, Bryce will re-post the original.   I do know there was a hidden red star on a wall…..

So here is my “Hidden Red Star” tribute.

Day 430 – Last of the Red

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

I have this real cutie pie as the last of the red series this week,  I did him around the same time that I did Ticky the clown and he is just too adorable not to share.  Talking of Ticky.  How cool is this.  One of my Twitter friends, who writes a new piece of music a day, took my clown doodle and set him to music.  I mean what an honor.  My doodle has it’s own theme music.  You have to check it out.

The site is called Ryan Houck’s music an here is a link Sketch 7: Ab for the Daily Doodle’s clown

Thank’s Ryan for sharing and setting my doodle to music.

Here’s today’s doodle:

Day 429 – Send in the Clown

September 2nd, 2010 1 comment

Continuing with the touch of red series.  I did this clown today. I am always amazed at how these doodles evolve.  This one ddi not start off as a clown, but once I had the eyes and nose in place, there was the clown.

I hope you like this colorful fellow.  Reminds of “Ticky” the clown I knew as a kid.

Day 428 – Having Fun

September 1st, 2010 6 comments

I am having so much fun meeting all these creative people of Twitter.  It is is amazing.  There is so much talent around that I am just astounded. So to all my new Friends, Fans and Followers, thank you for visiting the Daily and enjoying the doodles.  For those of you that are not yet following on Twitter or Facebook, you are definitely missing a huge part of what makes the blog so special.

Here’s the doodle of Day 428.  A continuation of the Red Lip Series. It wasn’t intentional to do a red lip series, but once I started it, I may as well continue.

Day 427 – The Phantom

August 31st, 2010 No comments

I started this as just a one sided face, but then it evolved into what I now call “The Phantom” of the Opera that is.  Not quite what Andrew lloyd Webber had in mind for Michael Crawford, but that is exactly what came to mind as I was drawing this.

Day 426 – JaraFinna

August 30th, 2010 2 comments

I saw this painting online yesterday, that inspired me to take a different direction with my doodle drawing today.  Someone on twitter asked how long it took to draw and actually the basic outline didn’t take long at all, less than half an hour.  Then I spend time fine tuning it and here it is.  Last night I quickly posted it on twitter via twitpic, but I wanted to add it to the blog as well.

Would love to hear what you all think.
