I am taking precautions to ensure that we don’t miss a day

So the storm of “unprecedented proportions” is just hours away from hitting the east coast.  Just about everything that moves is being shut down today.  The NY subway, the DC metro, Federal government, schools, colleges all coming to a grinding halt.  Is it going to be that bad?  Right now (around midnight) it’s raining by calm, so it’s hard to comprehend what lies ahead.  We are not prone to hurricane or tropical force winds.  From what I am hearing the sustained rain will be the worst part.  We will have to wait and see.  Let’s hope and pray that power is not one of the elements to take a sojourn for a few days…  I have to be able to keep the doodles coming.  Here’s a Hurricane Sandy inspired Doodle.

Is the worst still to come?

The Perfect Storm – Frankenstorm – The fiercest Storm to hit the East Coast in years.  This is what people are saying about the approaching Hurricane called “Sandy” that is heading this way on Sunday through Tuesday.  It doesn’t seem real, especially after 3 beautiful days.  But from all I am hearing the hurricane is going to meet up with an arctic blast from the west creating a perfect storm reminiscent of the “Perfect Storm” of 1991.  The difference is,  that storm happened out at sea,  this one is going to happen on land right in our back yard.  Unreal, but scary.

Makes me think of beautiful beach days

Pity it won’t last too long.
