Day 853 – Halloween Doodle

Halloween
Gotta do something a little out of the ordinary
Not quite scary
but then it’s not quite real either
Happy Trick or Treating!

We did end up getting snow in October. Something I have never seen in my 21 years in DC. It wasn’t a lot and will be gone by the morning, but it was very pretty to see coming down. Big white fluffy flakes. Very cool. Who knows what the rest of winter will be like, but I do enjoy the way it kicked off.
Can you believe that they are talking about measurable snow in the DC area today! It’s October we do not get snow in October. What is happening? Right now there is not a flake in sight, but that could all change as the day progresses…
Good day to stay in doors, watch a movie…. and doodle.
Fall is here and in full swing.
That cold wind that rustles through the trees.
Leaves are everywhere.
Colors a plenty.
A scarf, A hat
A coat soon to follow
Fall is here
and I love it.
Despite the face that we are in the middle of fall.
It fret down right springlike yesterday
and no one is complaining.
We’ll take all the good weather we can take.
The Mask of the Man
The Mask of Monday
No need to hide
behind the Mask no more.
“Am I waxing poetic on a Monday morning?”
Rushed back form the college visit to get home in time to see my youngest off to his first Homecoming Dance. I was immediately roped into playing taxi driver, but secretly I kinda enjoy that. It gives an opportunity to see what they guys are getting up to. They were all very well behaved. The scary thing is that they are growing up too fast. One is off to college in less than a year and the other is not far behind. So cherish every moment and if it means answering that call at One AM, to come and pick up from the after party, then so be it. It’s my pleasure.
Just a quickie doodle that I call “The Dancer”, more like The “Alien” Dancer
I am off on another college road trip this weekend. Just racking up miles. I will admit we do have fun on these. It gives me a chance to re-live my youth and live vicariously through my son. Gotta be up early this morning, orientation is at 8:00. I may regret coming on this quick trip. Here’s a page doodle in honor of our road trip experience.
