Let’s finish off Instagram week with this what I call the “Amoeba Doodle”
I have no idea why.
I hope you have enjoyed this week of Instagram Doodles
They will be back soon, because it’s a fun and easy way to showcase the drawings.

We are back in business. No loss of power and by the morning the internet and cable were back up and running. It’s in moments like this that you realize how reliant one is on the power of the internet. I was at a loss with no TV and wi-fi access. But all is once again back to normal and today’s doodle is going live at 12:10 am as usual. This is one of my favorite of the Instagram Doodles. It’s actually a close up of a much larger image, but I love the way it turned out.

Update: (9:23 am)
Here it is Friday’s Instagram Doodle
Had to go through hoops to get it posted, but never missed the day.

As I was getting ready to upload today’s doodle last night (which is my normal routine, I scan or photograph, create the post and then have it go live at 12:10 am, so there is something fresh at the start of every day) we were in the midst of what I thought was a mild thunderstorm. Then at around 8:50 (I noted the time because it was 10 minutes before the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, for which I had been waiting patiently. The plan was get the blog entry done, and go and relax on the couch, when out of the blue I saw this flash. I swear it looked like it was right outside my door. So bright, so intense. Then came the thunder and that shook the house like an explosion. I have never felt it so close before. All I could think was here we go again — Power out — and Pepco are about to go in strike.
Luckily the power remained on, but we lost our Internet, Cable and phone service. So I could not post today’s doodle at it’s usual time. I am hoping to get it uploaded shortly, so come back in a few. Watch this space. Today’s Instagram doodle will be available soon.
Here’s Wednesday’s Instagram Doodle:
I call this one
Up Up and Away
Because of it’s balloon like qualities

Here’s another in the Instagram series.
This is Ollie.
These are fun.

I am always looking for new ways to display my doodles as you have noticed, they appear on objects, on drawings and most often on plain pieces of paper. Well since I discovered Instagram (thanks 2 I know who), I have been playing around with new creative ways to showcase my drawings. “Instagram” is fun, quick, and adds a touch of nostalgia to any image. So why not add that vintage flair to the daily doodles too. So this week is Instagram Doodle week. You will see the doodles in a whole new light.
I started off with a drawing I posted last week and took 3 different images of it. Nice way to kick off Instagram Doodle week. What do you think?

Here’s a Fall Mandala
but with the pinks
it looks more Springlike…
wishful thinking!

Fall Mandala
The Days are getting shorter
The Air is firm and crisper
Greens all fade to rust
Nature turns a corner
Fall is now upon us
and soon it will be Winter

Hidden Faces
Friendly Faces
Friday Faces
Can’t help but love the doodle
