The latest craze sweeping the internet, is the Harlem Shake. A simple tune that starts of with a solitary performer standing in a room of “seem to be” oblivious people and he-she moves/dances/gyrates solo (usually in some crazy get up with a mask on). Like today’s doodle. Then when the beat kicks in and the “Harlem Shake” is announced, the seemingly oblivious folk in the room are quick to jump in and join in the Harlem Shake cavorting. All in the fun of getting attention.
Believe it or not all the YouTube attention as taken Baauer’s song to #1 on the billboard charts. Talk about the power of social networking.
