Day 93 – Shapes of Frustration

September 30th, 2009 No comments

The first shape got a great reception, thanks.  So we dive straight int no 2.

I spent all of yesterday without a computer at work.  You do not realize how reliant you are on technology until you don’t have it.  I felt lost, I could not even see my calendar and had to check with someone else, just to know where I was supposed to be at times.  Very frustrating and don’t even get me started on Technical support customer service.  I placed a call at 8:15 in the morning reporting that my laptop had crashed and would not boot up.  I repeatedly followed up 6 times during the day and was rudely told that my ticket had been given highest, critical status.  By 5:15, no one had responded, called or come by.  You can bet they will hear from me tomorrow.  Just had to vent.

Here’s today’s doodle, part 2 of “the shapes of things to come”

Day 92 – The Shape of things to come

September 29th, 2009 1 comment

A while ago I designed these interesting outlines, that at the time I was going to fill in with doodle artwork.  When I saw the result, I realized they stood out very well on their own.  So for the next few days, I give you “the shapes of things to come”   I simply framed them and gave them some color.  I really do like how they turned out,  let me know what you all think.

Here is the first of the group.

Day 91 – Can’t miss a beat

September 28th, 2009 No comments

I was almost unable to post today, but I realized that I can’t miss a beat.  I have to get a doodle drawing up so this will be a quick entry and I will be back on track and posting in more detail the rest of the week.

Here’s the doodle daily entry for Day 91.

Day 90 – Wish I could sleep in

September 27th, 2009 No comments

It rained all afternoon and night yesterday.  Went to a party, where they had a power failure, but the party still went on and it was such a fun evening.  But, party or no party we still gotta find time to doodle.  So I will go straight to the good stuff.

Here’s the doodle of the day for Sunday:

Day 89 – What if?

September 26th, 2009 No comments

Ever since I started this 365 project of trying my utmost to post a new entry, with a new doodle  every day, I have this fear of what if I miss a day.  Whether it’s accidental, or on purpose, what if I skip?  Does it automatically disqualify me?  Do I have to start all over again?  Luckily I haven’t hit that yet.  I am at Day 89 and still going strong, but it is tough as I write this it’s 1:30 in the morning (granted I technically still have the whole day ahead to qualify, but I know you love to wake up and see what’s new so I dare not disappoint.

So today being a Saturday and probably for the whole week ahead, I am sticking to the many doodle drawings that I have been doing while in meetings or on the phone or just hanging around.  No purpose, just me, a pen and my imagination.

The true art of the Doodle, as always enjoy.

Day 88 – Mr Doodle at work

September 25th, 2009 No comments

It’s Friday, another work week comes to an end.  It was a long one, but for 2 glorious day you can put the briefcase away, kick of your shoes and relax.  The weekend is ahead.  Even our friend Mr. Doodle gets to take it easy.  Hope you’ve enjoyed meeting the Doodles, they are bound to be back shortly and who knows where they may pop up next.

Day 87 – Fall has arrived

September 24th, 2009 1 comment

Officially, although you would never know it because it was in the eighties yesterday.  So in honor of the change of season, I thought I would kick it off with a boot full of flowers.  We all know that the Doodle family needs something to brighten up their day.

Day 86 – Rasta Man

September 23rd, 2009 No comments

The Doodle family is shaping up to be a really fun one.  So we invited Rasta Man over and he brought his ole pal Pete.  These guys know how to spice up the party.

Laura gave me a great idea today, the whole Doodle Family needs to make its way onto a series of Tjomies greeting cards.  So keep an eye out for those in the near future.  In the mean time here are Rasta Man & Pete.

Day 84 – The Doodle Family Returns

September 21st, 2009 No comments

We took a break last week to introduce the “Kane Show” fans to the wonderful world of Doodles.  I hope that all who visited the site enjoyed what I do and will come back to see more.  There’s a 4th member of the Kane show, Erick, who I wanted to include in the series, but I don’t have good enough image of him to use as a guide for his “Summer of death” doodle.  if any one has any ideas of how I can get a good picture that I can work with, I will include his doodle.  You can always send me an e-mail: warren@tjomiesvintagestationery.com or leave a comment on the site here or use the contact page on the right.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

For now I am bringing back the doodle family I had started to introduce to you last week.  We had the mother and child and the dancer, here is the 3rd in that series.
