Day 184 – End of a Decade

I remember in 1999 as the world waited for the new millennium to begin. Everyone was all freaked about Y2K, that the world would come to an end because computers would not be able to handle the change over to 21st century. Well here we are 10 years later. We survived (Y2K that is). Who would have thought that a 4 digit year would end up being the least of our worries in the 00’s.
This first decade of the 21st century left us with “hanging chads”, “sun-prime loans “, Enron, World-com, Tyco and a Madoff of a man named Bernie not to ever forget that fateful day on 9/11/01.
What a decade we just emerged from, we can only hope that the next 10 years and more, bring us only joy not tsoris.
